COOKIE POLICY

This website www.laboratoria.la and the application use a technology called “cookies”, identification technologies and/or similar automated data processing systems, in order to be able to collect information about your use as a user of our website, application, email communications, advertisements and other online services (collectively referred to as the”Platform“).

The use of these technologies has various purposes, including: authenticating users, remembering preferences and configurations, measuring the popularity of content, determining the location of the user (when authorized by the user), analyzing traffic and browsing trends, and generally understanding the behaviors and interests of those who interact with the Platform.

The purpose of this Cookie Policy is to inform you about the types of cookies we use, the purposes for which they are used and the options available for the user to manage them.

By clicking on the “Accept” button or any other mechanism enabled with equivalent effect, the user grants their consent for Laboratoria to install cookies on their device and, where appropriate, to process the personal data collected through such technologies, in accordance with the provisions of this Cookie Policy and the corresponding Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites, applications, online media and advertisements store on a browser or device, and that are used to recognize that browser or device during and between visits to our Platform. We also use other technologies that can identify you or the devices you use.

For example, “pixel tags” or web beacons are pieces of code installed on (or executed by) a web page, application or advertisement, which may collect certain information about your device and browser, such as: type of device, operating system, browser type and version, website visited, time of access, website of origin, IP address, advertising identifiers and other similar information, including the text file (cookie) that uniquely identifies the device. Pixels allow third parties to configure and view browser cookies from a domain that they do not manage, and to collect information about visitors to that domain, usually with the authorization of the domain owner.

“Local storage” refers, in general terms, to other spaces available on a browser or device where websites, advertisements or third parties can hold information (such as HTML5 local storage or browser cache).

Software development kits or SDKs perform functions similar to those of pixels and cookies, but they operate in the context of mobile applications, where those technologies are not always functional. The main developer of the application can install code snippets (SDK) from their partners in the application, allowing those partners to collect information about the user's interaction with the application, as well as data related to the user's device and network.

It is possible that third parties send cookies to your device through advertising displayed on the Platform. However, in such cases, the Platform will not allow these third parties to access the cookie information stored on the Platform itself.

Advertising cookies

In order to provide advertisements that are as relevant as possible, Laboratoria collaborates with various service providers that facilitate the delivery of advertising across different devices and platforms to end users. For example, we work with advertising services on social networks to show advertisements in line with the user's activity on Laboratoria's communication channels. In addition, we may use service providers to present advertisements on mobile websites or applications, similar to how we do on a traditional website.

In the same way, we use cookies to provide advertisements adapted to the user's interests. In such cases, authorized third parties may also use cookies when the user interacts with the services of our Platform.

These third parties may include social networks and advertising companies that use cookies when offering advertising content, both to show advertisements relevant to the user's interests and to measure the effectiveness of such campaigns.

However, it should be noted that these constitute an essential element for the proper functioning of our services, so that, if you reject or eliminate them, the availability and functionality of the Platform may be affected.

Most web browsers are configured by default to accept cookies. However, the user can configure their browser to delete or reject them, following the instructions provided by the browser itself, usually available in the menus of”aide” or”Preferences”. In addition, some third-party sites offer the possibility to reject their cookies directly through opt-out links, which are indicated in the table below.

These settings, which vary depending on the operating system used, allow you to refuse the installation of all or some cookies, as well as to delete them later.
